Invisalign®️ in Wenatchee, WA

Crooked teeth don’t always look aesthetically pleasing, and they can also affect your dental health. Food debris can get trapped between teeth, and your toothbrush may not be able to reach it and get rid of it before it breaks down. The carbohydrates in the debris can leave bacteria behind that can cause cavities, gum disease, and bad breath.

Correcting Crooked Teeth

To avoid the complications of misaligned teeth, our dentist offers teeth straightening for older teens and adults with Invisalign clear aligners. If your teeth are slight to moderately misaligned, Invisalign in Wenatchee can correct them.

Unlike braces that have wires and need occasional tightening, the plastic aligners use pressure to move your teeth into position. The aligners come in sets that usually last about two weeks, so you get 14 trays in each set. Our dentist will determine how many trays you get at one time.

Each tray is a little tighter than the previous one, and you wear a new tray every day. Before you run out of your set, you will pay a visit to our dental office to have your teeth examined. If your teeth are moving into position, you will get the next set of trays.

If they haven’t progressed as far as desired, you may need to wear the same sized trays for a second week. Before fretting over the cost of the repeated trays, the aligner company includes them into the overall cost of Invisalign.

How Many Sets of Trays are Necessary?

The number of sets you will need to correct your teeth depends on the severity of your misalignments. The more severe your case is, the more trays you will need to straighten your teeth. On average, Invisalign patients need between 20 and 30 sets of trays. However, your case may not require as many, or you may need more.

There are many benefits of Invisalign, which include taking them out to brush your teeth, clean the aligner, or play contact sports. While you should wear them 20 to 22 hours a day, removing your aligners gives you a short break from them daily.
